happy chinese new year :-)

well, it's the fourth day of cny now... i went to work as usual & got quite a good haul this year :-) again, i was ang pow bearer... dunno if i'll be in papers again ^^ i appeared in the star metro on 26 feb 2008 beside the GOP, partly cos i was working in marcomm & my boss so sweet, submit my pic ;) over the years, i've assisted 3 different GOPs - Moo, Andy & David. so i guess i'm a pro now :-) hehehe

Chinese New Year Eve is tomorrow :-) I like this time of the year cos i get lots & lots of ang pow from work (at least being i'm honest) & also i get to be ang pow bearer for the GOP (god of prosperity) hmmm.... maybe that's why i'm looking more & more prosperous year after year, lol!!!

peanut cookies

I don't really like peanuts or anything to do with nuts for that matter... some nutty stuff is ok but generally, i'm not nuts over nuts, lol, get it :-) hahah!! anyway, mummy asked me to make peanut cookies for her... since cny is coming, so ok la...

i ground this sugar :-)

from 500gms to 750gms to 1kg of peanute :-)

melt 1 kg butter

grind peanuts to form a paste

mix into butter, add sugar

& flour

ta-da!!!!

hahahah, we got slightly more than 2 huge tubs of heavy peanut cookies, enough to satisfy the greedy mummy's craving :-) she keep saying i cheat her into rolling...

wheat grass

did you know you can grow your own wheat grass? super easy & it doesn't taste at all like those you get from "outside" which i guess now is made up of green colouring. Anyway, I got a pack of wheat from the organic section of cold storage jaya one.

soak it for a day

get the compost ready (sapu from Big D)


i bought a bag of dirt from tesco (obviously)

scatter the wheat on the dirt compost mix...

squirt it with this squirt squirt squirty

top it with a bit of dirt

so cool!!

day - 2 it grew!!!

day 10 is D day as in death for you day for them, haha!! get it? no? nvm =.=

just cut off the tops as it'll grow again

blend it if you don't have a wheat grass juicer (like me)

strain it & mix it with honey & lemon :-)

it's good for detox (so i've been told)... growing my own wheatgrass is so cool :-)
