our NEW TOYS ^_^v

there was an ecom fair which started today in MITC. mummy went just for the heck, big D went cos he was looking for "stuff", i went for a hair dryer & mini d went for camera.... However, of all the thingies we bought, we bought a wok from there! but it's like a super wok & a nice super wok :-) if you had noticed the pics of our current wok, you would notice that the handle had been broken since last year.... so since we bought some stuff from the fair, we were entitled to a lucky draw by mistake & a money grabbing session. but the bloody organizers like made us wait for so long! supposed to start at 1pm so we waited for half an hour... then 1pm only they started to set up ok!!!

so shen ai got RM107 from the money grabbing, quite cool... we got a pan & a wok for RM249 & a lucky draw prize of an iron... with the prize money, it's quite worth it ^_^v

since it was past 2pm by the time we were done, shen ai suggested we makan at sushi ya again ok! then mummy said ok, we have hi tea instead of lunch! lol.... since i wanted to go to dp anyway to look at my hairdryer so ok lo... then after lunch we went to another fair & mini d spontanously bought a camera, pink camera lagi...

my hair dryer turned out to be a disappointment so i wanted to go to my regular salon supply shop in bachang. when we reached, we saw they were havin hair dryer promo! with straightening iron! how nice :-) supposed to get a hair dryer plus a mini hair dryer, straightener & diffuser. but diffuser & mini dryer out of stock so i got a mini straightener instead, cool. since straightener is more expensive than hairdryer & diffuser so ok lo... & i dun need a diffuser cos i got no curly hair anyway =_= we finally returned home at 6pm!

so when u buy a new claypot u gotta soak in rice water rite, new woks have to coat with oil to let it "eat" oil & become less sticky while you cook.... real anot dunno la, but it's chinese tradition to do so & the instruction manual said to do so too. so, i did it & it's now soaking in oil... i'm so happy when we but so many things relevant to me ^_^v

today, shen ai & i went to sushi ya cos they have 50% off all sushi on the kaitan belt from 3-6pm on weekdays :-) but first, some pics i found in my phone camera which i did not take =_=

so anyway, sushi ya is not great but the 50% discount thingie really is :-) they have more variety too, unlike sushi king which serve so called sushi with hot rice & frozen icy fish =_= and they use short grain rice, not tipu rice... they also have other jap dishes, sets & noodles & expensive stuff like king prawn & some other thingies which off hand i can't remember. but poor ppl like me can only afford to makan the 50% sushi :-) always feel super stuffed until belly gonna explode when i finish my sushi session there, lol...

shanghai rice cakes ~ 上海炒年糕

this year for CNY, Long Feng featured fried rice cakes as part of the CNY menu. When i went to tesco, i found it on the shelves :-) Big D said that the only time he had them was when my Gua Ma (great grandma) brought them back from Shanghai "centuries ago"... so into the trolly it went!

mama's birthday

we celebrated mama's birthday at my place yesterday. we had a traditional Fu Chow birthday meal (since mama is fuchow). Red Wine Chicken with mee sua & red eggs :-)
