King's & i Thai Restaurant

i had somehow promised the old farts dudes that i'd bring them to thailand... one dude was supposed to go there for her birthday with her frens but tak jadi... the other dude... it was a bribe to ensure i had a ride home from work over the weekend =_= since i worked like so long (hence the break in blogging) i kinda got a big headache... i woke up kinda early (10am) still with the headache :( so i put on my coolfever (my new best fren) & went back to bed :)

my cool fever... i think the oldies were kinda afraid that the "belanjawan" for today was not gonna get outta bed...

belanjawan feeling all better in her new dress! jadi go pula...

this is mummy.

Big D at the left corner of the pic.... king's hotel is in ayer keroh, King's & I restaurant is at level 1. the coffee house is below.

they have a really nice ambience with nice settings too :)

full table set up. gives a "fine-dinning" kinda feel... the chairs are comfy & there are private rooms available.

wow, their order system has floor plan & indicators to which table is vacant! better than micros!

the napkins match the table cloth

big D was sad he wasn't allowed to order his kerabu chicken (which wasn't even thai)

trying to convince us it is so

mummy, happy that she dun need to cook & pay

ta da! mieng kam!!! it came quite fast. they had already wrapped it up nicely for us :)

we just had to add our own sauce. it was delicious! i love mieng kam! i can eat 2 plates of these man!

there was a chili padi but i tossed it into mummy's cone :)

big D with his 3rd cone

mummy with her 4th :)

then came my 4 hor d'oeuvre combination :) spring rolls, top hats, bean salad & pandan chicken. all was really yummy but the salad was super duper hot!

pineapple boat fried rice, had ham, raisins, pineapple, capsicums, cashew nuts & floss.

Phad Thai ~ thai char kuey tiao. wonder how they made the egg net

the pad thai condiments

my blue rice :) hehehe, they boil it with morning glory flower...

beef soup, yummy, had kang kung in it too :) delicious

close up of my pad thai condiments

green curry. it had "baby egg plant" the pea like thing which mummy said was bitter... it was nice of them to use all boneless chicken but the green curry at My Elephant was creamier, though it did not have much meat.

we being piggy ppl still had room for dessert :)

when big D asked for toothpicks, they came with mentos, so nice :)

fried bananas with ice cream

mango, pulut & coconut cream, been dying to try this for ages!

finish ^_^v

our bill was so long it couldn't fit nicely into the bill folder, lol

we ordered a total of 10 items, hehehe...

our waitress, Ms May Zon Oo, was really nice. even though she's from myanmar, she was able to explain thoroughly on the dishes we ordered & how we supposed to eat it :) i gave her a tip & she gave us a flyer with a coupon for a 5% discount on our next trip ^_^v mummy loved it & there IS gonna be a next trip with a different belanjawan this time, lol

The "Kerabu Chicken Feet" is definately Thai if not Chinese. http://en.petitchef.com/recipes/chicken-feet-kerabu-thai-style-fid-769151

The word "Kerabu" must had been hijacked.
