today was sausage making day, but i wasn't invited cos Big D thought i got no Gmail account =_= so by the time i woke up, sausage making had already started half way!

so anyway, since we had sausage, again it was my duty to make a meal out of em... i spent the night before picking my brain (aka Google) on different side dishes which would go with sausages using existing ingredients in my house.
finally decided on braised cabbage, never knew mat salleh ppl eat cabbage as a non salad-ish dish ok...
i got the yellow pepper from last week, better finish it even if the recipe dun call for it!

super easy - dump the carrots & onions on the arranged cabbage, add EVOO, chic stock, S&P

mushroom risotto
shen ai's risotto rice - usually risotto is super hard work, stirring & spooning etc...
O, the cabbage - bake for 2 hours, turning in between, remove foil & bake for 15 mins
it'll look like this & taste fantastic! season to taste & add a splash of balsamic vinegar
back to my risotto - it's super easy! just dump everything in...
add boiling stock - 1 cup risotto : 2.5 cups stock - bake for 30 - 45 mins
i didn't burn them this time, nyekekekek!!!
dinner is served! mix in some herbs in the risotto & sprinkle pine nuts & cheese on it :-)
wow! we finished all the risotto man! lol
it was delicious & this time, i cooked just nice as there were amazingly NO LEFT OVERS!!! lol... everytime, no matter how yummy the food is, no matter how hard we try, there will always be left overs, but not today! & mummy loves my risotto cos she says it's not jelaking ^.^v
