like mr bean :) hehe
those mentioned above had been done a day before. the ice lemon tea - to properly chill it. the birdian - to properly season it :) the birdian is to be done ala piggy.
dice em... then kena mix em up, season it & put birdian over it.
stuff birdian with an apple.
grind black pepper over it all!!!
next we boil the potatoes
hansel & gretel stlye...
mash mash mash!!!!
take a break & have some coffee :)
mummy buys bulk "industrial" cheese... it's thicker, richer & cheaper
make a cheese sauce
the bird is done!!
let it stand - litterally!!!
make a gravy from real stock, not cubed stock...
cut the bird, it's still hot!!
the mirepoix
i let it sizzle in the kuali for a while & added salt, pepper & butter to taste.
lastly, boil the mini shell pasta...
add it to the cheese sauce to make mac & cheese!!!
yummy yummy :)
Big D had his potatoes with pesto sauce. it was a great combination! also we had creme caramel & bubur cha cha for dessert. i like the mirepoix, the chicken was moist, thanks to the apple. i chopped up the apple & mixed it with the mirepoix :-) don't waste...

hey shen-ynn, how do you make the gravy for mashed potatoes?
Hi Joanne :-)
2 options, 1st u can make your own chicken stock by boiling chicken bones then remove the oil. Fry garlic with butter till golden, add stock, add salt & pepper, or any other spice or herb to your liking. I added soya sauce for colour. stir in normal wheat flour solution (just wheat flour dissolved in water) until you get the desired thickness (wheatflour holds better than corn flour). Boil & it's done.
2nd option, when i have no time or am lazy, brown garlic in butter, add water & a whole maggi chicken or beef stock cube. Add pepper & flour solution, boil & it's ready :)
if you want, you can add in minced mushrooms & onions for more flavour :)
